The year marches on, the sun continues to shine, and so far the wheels haven’t come off in the UK.
I’m sure though that we are all keeping fingers crossed for what this winter will bring.
Surgeons doing what they exist to do, and want to do, operating on those who require our attention, has continued to be a mixed bag, much determined by geographical region here.
At some stage in the near future, consistently involving surgeons in assessing the relative risk to patients of operating versus not operating must surely happen. That will be one conversation many of us are looking forward to having with management and administrators.
